Address bar/omnibox text is invisible

As you can see, often when I'm typing the address bar the text is often (but not always) the same color as the black background, which makes it very annoying to use. It becomes visible once I defocus. What causes this?
I use dark mode. I do have some custom theme with my wallpaper from what I see, but not sure how it even got created and/or how to edit that part of it, if possible, the options seem very limited when I click the edit button. EDIT: seems unrelated to the theme, few downloaded ones also had this issue. Also surprisingly it happens in light mode.

Latest Opera (but has been happening for few versions now)Could be a duplicate, but I only found a similar unsolved issue for OperaGX.
