      Hello,
I’m using Opera GX in a shared environment and I’d like to prevent users from accessing advanced network settings such as DNS configuration.
Would it be possible to add an option (or admin mode) to hide or lock advanced settings sections?
This would be useful for shared PCs, public setups, or less experienced users.
Thanks for your work on Opera GX!

@DRAGONfrost063 What settings are you talking about?

DNS is changed on the OS settings and not on a browser.

@leocg Hi, thanks for the clarification.
I’m not referring to changing the system DNS itself.
I’m referring to the DNS / Secure DNS (DoH) section exposed in Opera settings, which allows users to select custom DNS providers.
In shared or managed environments, this section can be confusing or undesirable, even if it doesn’t change the OS-level DNS.
My request is about UI/UX control:
would it be possible to hide or lock advanced network-related settings, similar to an “advanced” or “admin” mode?
This is not a technical DNS issue, but a usability / configuration one.
