Couldn't get my stuff back after reinstalling

so my mac laptop had to be completely factory reset. I didnt really mind because i have a password manager and use opera. however, i just reinstalled opera on my computer and logged in and none of my settings, background, bookmarks, shortcuts, anything is here. i tried synched and everything else. I thought everything would be saved? is there any way to get my stuff back?
