@Valhollis I got the exact same issue, also tried other browsers and there work fine, so we can 100% assume its their fault. I did a report, wich i know im not going to get an answer, and to be honest right now im starting to think to change to Brave because i think Opera devs, or whatever, are not going to do anything about this and its quite frustrating, im using this command for years and its like my hands do it by default and this command its very convenient for me, i rather change browser than accept this command dont work anymore...

Same issue here. Still no fix for one of the most useful shortcuts for browsing internet.
I'll also look into browser alternatives since this isn't an habit I wanna lose and having type the adress twice is very frustrating

On Friday my support ticket got filed under "Known Issue," so maybe a fix is underway.

Ctrl + Enter search not working
This issue is replicable in normal Opera One(versión: 122.0.5643.92) btw

@leocg It should also submit it automatically, however, it doesn't and it used to do it before. Compare to chrome behaviour to experience the diff.

I'm on a Mac and the behavior I expect is command+enter while in the address bar submits the search/url in a new tab. What's currently happening is just that it refreshes the current page.

@TwelveFoot-0 It will refresh the page for me too if I'm trying to search from a current tab rather than opening a new, fresh one.

Good news, it seems to be fixed in Opera One 123.0.5669.47, right now we are in OperaGX 123.0.5669.43, so it shouldn't take so long to get an update with the fix.

Actually, it’s not good news — it’s bad news. I hadn’t noticed at first, but after testing it again, I realized they basically removed that functionality. Now, pressing Ctrl + Enter works exactly the same as just pressing Enter.
You can briefly see the browser append “www.” and “.com” for a few milliseconds, but then it’s immediately replaced by a normal Google search query.
That happens in Opera One 123.0.5669.47 and also in Opera Developer 125.0.5707.0.

@saidtorres3 I agree, hitting ctrl-enter gets a normal Google search query, not the browser appending "www." and ".com". It's better than simply refreshing the page but it's not the expected behaviour. I hope it can be fixed soon.

The fact this is still not fixed when it is probably one of the most used features by anyone, is a complete joke. I don't know what is going on at Opera, they seem to be so hellbent on game integration that they have forgotten the main reason for having a browser. I have applications to do all the game stuff OPera does. I'll probably just go back to Edge and remove Opera from my computer. This tiny little bug is pissing me off that much. Having used CTRL + Enter since it was a thing, I'm now hard wired. Having to type a web address 2 or 3 times (because I'm so used to just using the hotkeys) is beyond tiresome.
