I have Opera version 97.0.4719.83 installed on a Windows 10 computer. I get: Restart Opera to update to version 98.0.4759.15, but when I do that it does not execute the update and remains on version 97.0.471983.
What can I try to get the latest update? please suggest

The latest version at this moment is 120.0.5543.61. You can get it at https://www.opera.com/download or you can goto https://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/desktop/120.0.5543.61/win/, download "Opera_120.0.5543.61_Setup_x64.exe", launch it, click "options" and install it.

If you want to use the installer to update an existing install, in "options" in the installer, you'll want to make sure the install path is the same as your current Opera so that the installer says "upgrade". However, it would be better to uninstall Opera (but don't choose to delete your data when uninstalling), delete the install folder and then install the new Opera.

Note though that 97.0.4719.83 if very, very, very far behind and you should export your passwords and bookmarks and back up your profile folder before updating as your profile files are using outdated versions of their formats. Opera should upgrade them for you (and convert things over to the new layout, but no guarantees. So, after you export your passwords and bookmarks, you should close Opera and back up the "Opera Stable" folders in both "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software" and "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Opera Software". However, it'd really be best to start over with fresh "Opera Stable" folders and just import your passwords and bookmarks into thew new Opera.
