How do I remove GX Corner from my view? [read full post please]

Hi! PC Gamer here - since I know at least one response will be "eugh this is a gamer browser", I'm cutting that short now - who is sick and tired of having extra space taken up by a tab that, realistically, does nothing for me but shove ads in my face.
How do I get rid of it? It's taking up space I could be using for something else, and it's causing a lot of background running that has begun causing issues with trying to use my browser to look something up while running a game any heftier than a file that can be run on Dolphin.
I know for a fact that we used to be able to remove this thing. Why change it to where it must always be present? Is there an obscured setting I am missing now that there's been several updates?

@Analog-Machine As said, you can go to settings page and check the option to move GX Corner to sidebar.

You can right-click on the tab and choose "move to sidebar".

@leocg That is, in no way a removal of this tab, it is a relocation, and it does not do anything to help my issues.
Please read the entire post: I want to remove this, not simply relocate it.

@Analog-Machine Once you move it to the sidebar, you can click the 3 dots at the bottom of the sidebar and then turn off that GX Corner panel.
