Opera loading in Background when I click on an email link

When I click on and email link Opera loads in background instead of foreground. It used to work right but 2 or 3 months ago it changed. It is set as default browser. Any ideas how to fix this. When I change to firefox or any other browser it works right. I am running Win11 Pro
