Locked out of account with 2fa

I was trying to buy a sub on Twitch and was constantly met with an error, after looking online I was told to try to log out of Twitch and back in again, when trying to do so I was met with an error saying Twitch did not work with my current browser. Looking online I was told to recover the browser settings, to no avail, so I was told to log out of Opera, at which point when logging back in I was met with a 2fa prompt. I do not have an authenticator set up for Opera, I don't remember setting up 2fa for Opera and the fact I don't have it in my authenticator has me believing I never did, so the only other option is a backup code, which it says can be found in my account settings... which I cannot access.
How do I reset my account to gain access? Is the problem with Twitch a Twitch issue, or has anyone else got this problem recently?

@JNFU9ERWNRP If you no longer have your authentication app or a backup code, you will not be able to access your account.
