Stuttering after opening a FB Messenger conversation

After I open a FB Messenger conversation, the browser becomes unresponsive or laggy for 3-4 seconds, and then becomes responsive again. Here is a screenrecording of the issue.
Can somebody help me with it?

Yes, only on sidebar this issue happens.

Update: It seems that this issue disappeared, for now (version 117.0.5408.154). The conversations can be opened and closed smoothly without lag.

The topic can be closed if it's needed.
