Why Opera doesn't inform on the download page, what version of Opera is available?
It's impossible to tell if I need to download it to upgrade or not.
Is there any fix for this, not having to use autoupdates?

It's impossible to tell if I need to download it to upgrade or not.
Click Opera to open the menu -> About Opera. That'll tell you whether you have the latest version or not and even perform an auto-update.

Sounds like he deliberately disabled it and is looking for a workaround now, @rafaelluik.
