Unable to use quarter panes on a vertical monitor

I am no longer able to use quarter panes and it split equally any more with Opera or Opera GX.
My monitor is a standard 16:9 resolution monitor set in portrait mode (1080x1980). I periodically like to have 4 different panes going simultaneously if I am working on something. If I do try to go to use quarter panes with Opera, it's more like 2/3 pane and 1/3 pane. The panes will over lap.
Everything else in my system goes to the quarter pane as usual. I have been running LVL6 (core: 114.0.5282.233) on another PC and can use the quarter panes. Was there a setting that changed or introduced that I'm not finding?
