@AUBYCORD Remove the file from the download list.

If that file is being downloaded from nowhere, check opera://settings/content/automaticDownloads, disable all extensions and mods and check your system for malware.

@leocg thanks but thats not what i wanted. the browser opens another tab and deletes it after opening a file, then it downloads the file again. how do i make it stop?

@leocg wait i think i got it. i pressed opera to open files with and thats why it did that. how do i disable it?
