Youtube tab randomly opening every so often

Whenever I'm performing a task every so often a new tab will open with youtube.com on it. I don't know if I accidentally did something to cause this or not. All I know is that this issue started happening this morning.

Hello, so basically youtube keeps force auto opening on my opera and I have no idea why this keeps happening. Its more frequent when I'm watching yt shorts. Any idea whats causing this?

@wizardfafnir123 I've found a fix, you have to remove the ad speedup extension
