      Hi all,

I've been a faithful Opera user since 2003, and have never considered using anything else. I'm not one for fussing with add-ons or using tablets or mobile phones, just a plain desktop. Call me old-fashioned, but it works for me, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

One thing that's keeping me from updating Opera lately is that a couple of the things I use a lot have vanished from these latest versions, and I'd love to have them back - most of all the "Open in background window" option. This makes a world of difference to my browsing and I'm not ashamed to say it was the feature that one me over back in 2003.

Another useful feature gone the way of the dodo is the dropdown button on the address field. Once upon a time it was disabled but you could get it back on the config menus. I can't find it anymore... why? Is it so bloody hard to keep it going? Am I the only one left that uses that?

Can I please get these things implemented back into Opera? I don't care if I have to go fetch them buried deep in some dark corner of the menus, but please leave the option to get them working.

      Cheers, Eddie

most of all the "Open in background window" option.

"Open link in new tab" usually opens it in a new background tab. Middle click also works sometimes.

I know, but I manage windows more easily, I don't really like using tabs. I know I might be a bit old-fashioned, but it just works better for me.
