    [Solved]I'm trying to sync but i dont want to reset data...

      Im trying to use opera on my phone. Tried to sync but then i get this message:

      "Your synced passwords are encrypted with an old account password. Reset your data to resume syncing"
      "This will delete all your passwords on other connected devices."

      I'm confused, I don't want to delete anything saved on my account on my opera on my laptop and PC. Is that what it's saying it will do?

      How do I get the data saved on my laptop opera onto my phone opera?

      I havent changed the password or anything, so this message has really confused me.

      Any help clarifying would be greatly appreciated thank you 🙏🙏

        @5323h Yes, it clearly says that your data will be removed from Sync servers. It's the only way to reset your passphrase.

                @5323h a Yes, but if your passwords were encrypted using a different Opera password, you will need to provide that old password.

                  @5323h Clicked Sync where? Opera doesn't have a Sync button.

                  Try logging out and logging in again to see if Opera asks for your password.

                    @leocg so I click "sync is paused" and then "sign in" it says "sync is paused, sign in again to resume"

                    But anytime I do it says it will deleted all my other saved passwords on my other devices....

                    So are u saying this means I'm not using the correct password? Because I've tried two different ones and it's saying the same, which would imply that.....

                    Omg, i tried a third password and it worked fine. I was literally using the wrong password 😳. Fml. I wish it said wrong or different password or something. But that's on me.

                      @5323h Strange, if you were using wrong password, you shouldn't have been able to login.

                      Anyway, if it's working, than that's fine.

                        @leocg thats a good point actually. I used 2 different passwords to sign in each time, but only one of them alowd me to sync.....odd. but yes it's working now so all good.
