Please, please, tell me how disable scrolling in context menu. It's extremely annoying, this sh#t keeps making me click in the wrong place all the time.
I really don't want to find another browser, but this feature is so annoying that it just forces me to do it

@leocg This didn't happen before, it started a couple of months ago. I wouldn't say that my monitor is particularly small, plenty of space above and below the context menu. And when I tried to find out how to remove it, I found that a lot of people had also encountered this issue.

@Simplehuman Probably due to the layout changes in the context menus, whose items are more spaced now.
By the way, here I don't see scrolling arrows in context menus.

@leocg Okay, is it possible to remove some items from the context menu? For example, I don't need “Save as PDF” and “Full Screen f11”, how can I remove them?

I am crying, but these are tears of happiness. After a very long time of searching, I finally managed to get rid of that annoying crap.
Here's how I managed to disable scrolling in context menu:
- Download the old version Opera_111.0.5168.61_Setup.exe from this link:
https://ftp.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/111.0.5168.61/win/
(You will need the CCleaner program for the next steps)
-
Disconnect the internet!!!
-
Install the downloaded Opera_111.0.5168.61_Setup.exe (install it in the same location as your current version).
-
Now, disable auto-update:
- From Windows Task Scheduler remove the update entry. via CCleaner program: Open Tools > Startup > Scheduled Tasks, then disable Opera scheduled Autoupdate and Opera scheduled assistant Autoupdate.
-
In the Opera folder search for opera_autoupdate.exe and delete it.
-
In the shortcut properties, add --disable-update to the Target field."
- Reboot PC, turn on the Internet, Use.
notes:
- now Opera will say that an update is available, but will not auto-update itself.
- also because opera can not update, every time you open opera it will run logo animation, it can be disabled by deleting opera_gx_splash.exe in the opera folder.
- Download the old version Opera_111.0.5168.61_Setup.exe from this link:

@Simplehuman You will of course be vulnerable to all the security vulnerabilities that are not patched/fixed in that version.
