      Hello,

so I have a hugely annoying problem. I use multiple dekstops on windows 10 (Windows + Tab). When I drag and drop an Opera tab (not every tab does this), it will switch desktops on its own. I have Opera open on these desktops and multiple instances of it running. Sometimes I cant move it to another screen and it will just change the desktop on its own, or sometimes even moving the tab a few pixels instantly changes the desktop.

This annoys the hell out of me, because I literally have to copy the url and paste in a new tab instead of just drag the tab.

Anyone know this issue? Is this a setting in opera maybe?

      Thanks alot.

@luc1001 This issue you're facing might not be specific to Opera but rather related to how Windows 10 handles multiple desktops and certain apps. Here are a few steps you can try to fix it:

        Disable Opera’s tab detaching:

Go to opera://settings/ in the Opera browser.
Scroll down to the User Interface section and look for an option like detach tabs by dragging (it might vary in wording).
If it exists, try disabling this setting to stop tabs from moving between windows or desktops when dragged.
        Check Virtual Desktop settings:

In Windows, press Windows + Tab to view your desktops.
Try moving the entire Opera window between desktops instead of individual tabs to avoid issues with dragging.
        Update Opera:

Ensure you’re using the latest version of Opera. Go to opera://about/ to check for updates. Bug fixes might resolve the tab movement issue.
        Try disabling hardware acceleration:

        Go to opera://settings/ > Advanced > System.
Disable Use hardware acceleration when available and restart Opera. This might help with the odd desktop switching behavior.
If none of these work, it could be a bug specific to Opera with multiple desktops. Consider reporting it through Opera's support channels for a potential fix in future updates.
