Hi, I love the workspaces feature, but is it possible to update to add more than 5? I don't think that's enough. Have a nice day!

@Fizz-Mechanic It's been years that you can add a way more than 5 workspaces.

@leocg I'm limited to 5, so as soon as I have 5 and create a new one, one of my workspaces is replaced by the new one.

@Fizz-Mechanic You can add more than 5 workspaces on that version.
And why don't update to 113?

If updating to the latest 113 build doesn't fix it, you can try to fix it yourself.
Goto the URL
opera://about
, take note of the "profile" path and close Opera.Open the "Preferences" file in the profile folder with JSONedit and switch to tree mode.
Under root/ui, left-click on "workspaces" to select it and press del to delete it. Or, right-click and choose "delete selected node" so you get asked for confirmation first.
Then, under root/ui/browser/sidebar/item_prefs, delete Workspace_0 through Workspace 24. As in, delete all the "Workspace" nodes.
Then, under root/ui/browser/sidebar/item_prefs/visibility, delete all the Workspace_ nodes there too.
Then, save your changes.
Then, delete all files in "Sessions" folder in the profile folder.
That will cause you to lose all open tabs, in all windows, in all workspaces, the windows themselves, and all workspaces themselves. And, your recently-closed tabs list will be cleared. But, that should fix it hopefully.
Then, start Opera, let it run for 30 seconds, close it, start it back up, let it run for 30 seconds, close it, start it back up and add your workspaces back in and you should be able to add more than 5.
Now, if you need to save the tabs in each of the 5 workspaces you have now before you do all this, in each workspace, right-click on a tab, goto "save" and choose "all tabs to a speed dial folder". Then, on the start page, edit the folder and rename it to the name of the workspace. Then, after you do the above and recreate your workspaces, in each workspace, right-click on that speed dial folder for the workspace and choose "open all in tabs". That will restore your tabs for each workspace.
Also note that if you're using Opera Sync and syncing settings, before you do all of the above, it would be best to goto the URL
opera://settings/syncSetup
, disable the syncing of settings and keep it off. Syncing of workspace settings can be buggy sometimes. And, in this case, you don't want syncing of settings to mess with your manual resetting of the workspaces. With all that said though, the root/ui/workspaces/config/next_id value might just be incorrect for some reason. If you have 5 workspaces (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4), the next_id value should be 5. If it's 4, that might cause Opera to replace your 5th one (4 in the preferences file). So, you might want to check that first.
