QR Code Will Not Scan

I've been trying to link my desktop and my fold 3. It gives me a QR code on the desktop to scan, but nothing happens. I tried doing it manually but not seeing that option on my phone. Instead, my gives me a QR code, which I cannot scan. So, how do I link my desktop to my phone and avoid this annoying QR business?
