not allowing me to sign in to particular sites

Since Friday I have had a lot of issues with Opera mainly 'opera not responding' becoming more and more of an issue. Spent all day yest and so far all of today trying to rectify clearing cache / cookies clearing disc space. My laptop is old however has been functioning fine. Now all seems ok pages loading quickly but it's not allowing me to sign in to particular sites. I click sign in now and it just shoves me back to sign in now? it's so annoying as this has never been an issue before. (It's not the site as I can access through Chrome and sign in fine) any ideas what has happened? If II cant get this issue fixed I'll probably have to delete my 'Opera' browser and just use Chrome. Many thanks in advance.

@Shazza73 I had that problem too. For some reason I could not get x.com to load. I downloaded an opera update and then rebooted my computer and now it works.
