      yes of course,

      but can you do following:

      • install Stylus and set your user style (it will work)
      • then quit Opera and start Opera again
is it working like it should ?

Testing with the CSS I mentioned in my comment earlier, I can confirm the issue in Opera One 112.0.5197.39 64-bit, Opera One 111.0.5168.61 64-bit, Opera Developer 114.0.5242.0 64-bit and Opera GX 111.0.5168.104 64-bit on Windows 11 23H2. After restarting Opera, the user style doesn't work for google.com even though "Allow access to search page results" is still enabled. You have to disable the extension and reenable it to get it the styles to work right on google.com. Note that unchecking and rechecking "Allow access to search page results" does the trick too as that reloads the extension.

There is one note though. If you're not logged in to Google, the google.com page will show a bubble/tooltip/dialog on the page asking you if you want to sign in to Google. After a restart of Opera, the CSS from the extension still works for it (where it's all red in the case of the CSS I used). It's just the rest of the page that the style is not applied to. That bubble/tooltip/dialog is in an iframe from ogs.google.com though.

I can confirm that everything works as intended in Opera 109.0.5097.80 64-bit.

So, looks like bug that you can report at https://opera.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals. Please post the bug number here after you're done.

@Olifant Thanks for the report. Understood about the email. No worries. You can try to go directly to https://opera.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/9/group/11/create/6 in the future if you want.

@Olifant It could be a browser-specific issue with Chrome. Try clearing the cache, reinstalling Stylus, or checking for Chrome updates. Since it's working on Edge, the extension itself seems fine.

I tried it with a new profile, but it's the same behavior as always.

I just tried it with Vivaldi and
                    ... it works right away.

The issue with having to disable and enable an extension again after restarting Opera to get its "allow access to search page results" setting to work was just fixed internally. No guarantees when the fix will be in a public build, but watch for DNA-119467 in the changelogs in posts at https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/.

If an Opera extension isn’t working on Google.com, check its permissions and ensure it’s allowed to run on all sites. Verify that both the extension and browser are up to date. Conflicts with other extensions or Opera’s built-in privacy settings can also cause issues. Test by disabling other extensions and reviewing settings. Clearing cache and cookies may help too..

Ditto, i'm using version 116.0.5366.21 and this still happens (although I can say that randomly at times, it will "turn on" and works on the search page as expected).
