Aria AI doesnt display correctly

I've just started using Linux Mint and have installed Opera Browser. When I tried the Aria AI, its window starts being perfectly readable, then becomes a mass of colored rectangles jumping around its window. Being an absolute newbie to Linux I've no idea where to start looking to solve the problem.
No extensions are installed, and the ad blocker is OFF. My version of linux is

The instalation level is MATE

I appologise for the lack of detail, as I've only got a couple of hours of linux under my belt.

My apologies for not including.
Opera One(version: 112.0.5197.39).
Also the laptop is a rather old Dell Inspriron 1501.
Opera its self seems to be working OK, as is watsapp.
