Unwanted tabs opened

Opera has begun opening tabs in my browser that I didn't open and wouldn't have visited. Most are retail sites. I really don't approve of this, but I haven't seen a way to stop it. I keep the phone clean, lean, and mean. Pretty sure it isn't a virus or something like that. Any ideas on how to stop this?
