I lose internet connection when I turn on VPN on my computer

Hey. English is not my native language, so I apologize in advance.
I have an interesting problem with Opera VPN. While I can easily use it on my phone, I lose internet connection when I turn on VPN on my computer. No matter which server I choose, I have tried all of them and my connection drops under all circumstances. I tried uninstalling and installing Opera, I tried updating but it doesn't work. How can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance.
