Eye dropper tool not working when DevTools is undocked

The "Eye dropper" tool for color picking is not working when DevTools window is undocked. I believe this problem started with version 109 and I hoped for a fix with every update. A while back there was this settings configuration which enabled the color picking outside the browser window (DevTools - Settings - Experimets - Enable color picking outside the browser window) but it has been removed since. Other Chromium based browsers don’t seem to be affected by this. I tested it in Chrome and Edge and it works just fine.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I tried resetting everything, reinstalling, nothing works.
