@leocg Ok, so 200 is the standard for just a regular tab, I tested this and a tab with nothing on it is around 500 MBs, I know it's not a huge deal because I have a lot of memory, but I still want to know why its more than double the normal amount.

@jakobe12 There isn't a standard number, the amount of memory used may depends on a lot of factors.

Opera GX is using high memory ram in the recent updates (it was fine last month) well looks like we can't use a same tab to watch videos, if you open a video you need to close the tab and open the new video on new tab to reset the memory. hope you fix this memory leak. i have 16gb ram and sometimes i have out of memory message. below a print of gx controlc6383215-0b9e-4961-a7e2-2e29212a21e7-image.png

@mateusdrte13 Some people are saying that disabling adblocker may help.

@MateusDrte13 Did you resolved this issue? I have the same problem. Opera keep consuimng RAM when I open Youtube page. ~5MB/s Just open main page. I am not even playing any video.

It makes operating system really laggy.

@kiciulek Unfortunately not.... My Opera runs at 2000mb or 1000mb per day, but for me it's no longer a problem as I've upgraded the RAM in my computer, taking up only 40/30% of all the memory. It's still a pain, but I've got used to it.

@MateusDrte13 Thank your for the reply. I've just migrated to Firefox. That bug makes Opera unusable with Youtube in my case. If I open Youtube on the Opera, it makes a new Opera system process. Even if I close it, the process reopen when I run Youtube on the other Chromum based browser.
