Any difference if you turn the global system notifications setting off in Windows and then turn it back on?

@burnout426 The issue still repro after turning on global system notification settings off in Windows and then turn it back on. Could you please take a look at this bug again? Thanks!

@haifang I can't test with any insider builds. But, on Windows 11 Version 23H2 (Build 22631.3374), I get a notification to pin the taskbar button and allowing it works. Just tested with the 109.0.5097.38 64-bit offline installer.

@burnout426 you can join the insider dev channel to get the insider build: Go to Settings -> Windows update -> Windows Insider Program -> select "Beta channel (Recommended)"

@haifang Yes, understood, but I must keep this machine at stable, sorry.

@burnout426 Understand. But in that case, you might not be able to repro the bug with your own machine. Is there any plan for the bug?

I don't even think it's know. You can file a bug at https://opera.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/9/group/11/create/6 for this and post the bug number here. I can then FYI someone to see if they want to look at it.

In the meantime, is there any difference if you uninstall Opera and delete the install folder (it's always left behind with a few things in it after uninstallation) and then reinstall?
Also, is there any difference if you do:
"Opera_109.0.5097.38_Setup_x64.exe" --pintotaskbar=1
in a command prompt when you launch the installer?
105.0.4970.16
I assume you've tested with newer versions than that version you mentioned in your original post?

@burnout426 We tried all the above you mentioned. But we still could repro the bug. Could you please take a look at it again?

@haifang I will not change to canary channel, sorry. I changed to Beta (or to equivalent on that time) because the developer one became to complicated to follow.
Even if I could reproduce the problem, Opera most probably wouldn't fix a bug that happens only in a (pre)alpha version of an OS.
