Opera doesn't close on last tab closed

When I close all my tabs, I expect my browser to close, but instead opera opens a new speed dial tab. I was thinking about switching to opera, but this is a deal breaker. Any solutions?

It's done that way on purpose as most Opera users like it that way. There's no option to change the behavior.
