My text cursor changes to white when I hover over a text box making it incredibly difficult to find with a white background. Is there a fix for this?

Am I the only one who has this problem? I.g. During my writing here on the forum I have mentioned problem too.

I'm having this issue every now and then with the cursor disappearing. Currently experiencing it in google docs. What's even more confusing is that when I try to screen record it, the cursor shows up on the video. Is it maybe something to do with screen resolution then?
