Hello, I have a problem with Opera GX and Opera asks for the location for every download, even though I disabled this in the settings and Opera is supposed to use the download directory.

This slider in the settings somehow has no function.

      LVL5 (Core: 106.0.4998.61)
      Opera is up to date
      Update stream: Early Access
      Operating system: Windows 11 64-bit
      Chrome version: 120.0.6099.217

Google translate because I can't speak English

@faylamoon As said and widely known, depending on the file type/extension you are downloading,, the save as dialog will always show up for security reasons.

So it's not common knowledge now because I don't know it either.

Can you turn this off because it's extremely annoying and it works with almost all file changes like .EXE, .PDF, .JPEG, etc.

@faylamoon You can make a suggestion but I don't really think that they will change anything.

Couldn't you change that somehow with a flag?
At least I saw something about it in the forum but unfortunately this flag doesn't exist for me.
Also, why is there a setting in the settings so that the browser doesn't ask if that doesn't work or it has 0 effect?
