Opera GX refuses to translate and block ads

Hello,

I have installed the google extension for translating, I have opera set to ask me does it want to translate, however it never does.
When I google how to do this, the search history doesn't match anyway in what I have in my browsers - "Browser - Language" yet I do not have this option or anything of the likes in my settings. I have to manually go to the extension button, click it and then click to translate and then depending if the browser feels like it, it will translate or not.

I recently got Opera GX because of many great features and a great Adblock(this rarely works too). However I am not very impressed so far, am I missing an extension or something? Is there set profiles I can install that will help?

I really like this browser and maybe I am doing something wrong or missing something, but it is not giving what Is being advertised for me.

I am fairly new to this browser and want to make it work.

Anyone have any helpful tips for me?
