How come that Opera just deletes history, bookmarks and all open tab, without warning when upgrading

I've been using Opera for many years. But when Opera crashes, I often loose all my open tab, and the developer apparently don’t see this as a problem. I found out that I could go to the Sessions folder and find the old data, annoying that Opera don’t just do that for me.

But with the latest update, I also lost all my bookmarks, browser history and of cause all my open tabs. Not because opera crashed, but because Opera wanted to update…. So, every thing just gone… No warning so I could make backup, or questing if I want to update, just delete everything. I’ve tried to write on messenger, but no answer.
What is the strategy behind this approach of don’t care about users open tabs, history, bookmarks and don’t give a … about is?

Same this happened with me I bookmarked one of my favorite Korean webtoon website new rabbit and the and I bookmarked it. But when the opera browser crashes. All of my history are also vanished and disappeared.
