Importing passwords doesn't work + Opera account acts weird

Searched the forum, but seems to be my problem is not mentioned yet.
I installed Opera GX and decided to import passwords from Chrome. None were imported.
I thought that maybe the issue is that I don't have an opera account, so I created one and tried to import passwords from Chrome again, however, I can't, because I have to change the password to my Opera account. The problem is, I created the Opera account with my gmail account so I don't have an opera ccount passowrd because my authentication is handled by google.Does this mean I will not be able to have my passwords in Opera? If that's the case, then the browser is useless and that's a major flaw in the app design.

In Chrome, goto the URL
chrome://password-manager/settings
and click "Download file" to export your passwords to a CSV file. Then, in Opera GX, goto the URLopera://settings/passwords
, click the 3 dots to the right of "Saved passwords", click "Import passwords" and point it to the csv file. -

@vvilku You don't need to have an Opera account to be able to import saved passwords from Chrome
How do you get by the password encryption requirement then? Can't import them if you don't set up encryption, can't encrypt them if you don't have an account.
P.S. Just realised I posted in the wrong forum, that should be in Opera GX, can you please move the topic to the correct forum?@burnout426 - That worked, thanks, but that's a clumsy workaround.

This is most likely due to changes in Chromium where Opera needs to update/fix the importers so they work again. Others have reported that importing doesn't work, so it's probably nothing on your end.
