Lost everything after updated

I'm using Opera browser quite frequently, until one day it changed appearance and everything, required me to login again, then I used the old account thinking it will transfer the bookmarks and passwords but now everything is like new one. Is there someone who shares the same problem or can tell me the reason why? Thank you.
