Profile disappeared

Hello!
I created a new profile earlier, but accidentally unpinged the shortcut from my taskbar and now I can't find a way to open the profile again. I checked the files, the side profile folder is still there. What should I do? -

In Opera GX, goto the URL
opera://settings/side-profiles-settings
and click the 3 dots next to the profile. It should give you an option to restore the taskbar icon and desktop shortcut. -

@burnout426
That doesn't work...
Is it because I can only have one other profile? Because I see one profile there but not the one I needed -

No. You can have a bunch.

Sounds like it's removed as far as Opera is concerned but its data was left behind for some reason. The data for the missing profile should be gone. But, you said it remains.
Create another profile (the same type,, name and color as the lost one if you remember). Then, right-click on its desktop shortcut, goto "properties" and look at the target field on the "Shortcut" tab. You should see the command to launch that new profile. You will see that it has a side profile ID in it.
You can right-click on your desktop and create a new shortcut with that same command but change the side profile ID in the command to your lost profile's ID.
You can find the ID by going to the URL
opera://about
in the main Opera GX and looking at the "profile" path. In the profile folder, in the _side_profiles folder, you'll see the ID if you were correct in saying that the old profile is still there. If it's not still there, you're out of luck.Another way to do things is to just create a new profile and copy all the files and folders from the old profile's ID folder to the new profile's ID folder (replacing existing files there). Just don't copy over the "xxxxxxxx_sideprofile.json" file.
