@stupot123 It happened the same to me. Opera was actualized to Opera One and everything is gone.

So I wasn't aware that opera was going to have a massive software update. Normally, I would open Opera and have all my tabs recovered like it usually does, but it didn't.
I was shocked to see that my browser was wiped clean. No tabs, no bookmarks, no history, nothing.
Is there a way to recover this? I had my opera sync on but I don't exactly know how to recover it from there. Moreover, I had huge amounts of tabs opened in five different workspaces specifically for different types of work/topics like one specifically for studying, others for my work, and I need them badly.
The tabs showed in my sync content weren't even exactly as I had left my browser. Is there like a recovery option from the source files? A record of my old sessions? I did roam around the source files but I'm not exactly sure what to do with the files since they are just "file"s.

Opera automatically updated my desktop browser and on update I lost all my bookmarks, sites, settings, extensions. ALL LOST!
I'm extremely disappointed.I've been using Opera for years and I'm going to delete this crap from my computer and phone. I'll have to waste a lot of time trying to remember everything and recover what I lost.
Crap amateurs.

@aimzz I have not seen anything where Opera have acknowledged there was a problem with the accounts, those of us who were syncing and still lost everything need some resolution.
Can you imagine a bank losing all your banking info and suddenly having no idea what you had in your account? Yeah, that. This weekend I missed deadlines with work and that will not stand with me, I will be off as soon as I have all I need.
My work around was to find an old version of Opera, and without closing the browser for the last few days screen shot passwords, and downloaded the file, and downloaded bookmarks. If I close the browser numpty Opera will return. So if you are in need of this solution, leave your comps on and leave the browser open until you have everything you need.

@khryausohowl download a different browser, remove numpty Opera, run a registry clean, download an old version of Opera, when you have that and log in your info will be there, bookmarks and passwords, as they should be.
Download the passwords and bookmarks, Do Not Close The Browser until you have everything you need then it's up to you if you stay with Opera or take your info to a more reliable browser, one that knows this may cost even synced users their data and warns users to back up in advance of the update, or, more realistically, as everyone else does, saves it in a safe place on their end and restores if for you.

Opera, if you are listening to your users, please give us official instructions re how to regain our bookmarks, history, workspaces, and tabs. Some very helpful Opera users have posted various ways to recover this lost data, but the response from users who have tried these methods has been mixed: it appears to have worked for some people but not others. We need Opera to clarify exactly what we have to do to recover all the data which we have trusted with you, and which disappeared with your latest update. Please do not ignore us!

@kmara do you realise many people dont have opera accounts they just use the browser so saying "just install an old version and sync" isnt going to work for them. this is a disaster by OPERA.

I opened my computer to find has installed a new version of Opera (Opera Stable 102.0.4880.16) without any prompting from me. The big problem is that I have lost all my "Bookmarks". I have a backup file in "Explorer". How do I transfer this to the new Opera?

I'm devastated - every single setting has been gone after updating Opera today.
My session, all my saved data (bookmarks, history, passwords), all gone.
As if opera was installed to be resetted.
What the hell has happened?
What can I do to get it back? -

hello,
I'm on windows 10, Opera has been updated to v 102.0.4880.16.
After i restarted it, i noticed it didnt open my couple hundreds tabs, all my sessions was cleaned off, everything erased. i checked in session folder, clean to, so nothing to get back from.Any way to block opera completely from updating ? been the third time in 6 month that an update either break my tabs, or completely clean them off. no history either to get anything back.
And opera sync is synced with data that goes only to july 2022 somehow , while i used to sync all my pc together since i started using opera since a couple years ago.
