Opera won't open common web sites

I am regularly getting error notices:
This site can’t be reached
nhm.org’s server IP address could not be found.

Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy, firewall, and DNS configuration
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

My wife is also getting these error messages.
I can open Wikipedia and other common web sites, but many are not opening;

Sounds like a DNS issue on your system. Until you figure it out, in Opera, goto the URL opera://settings/system and enable DNS over HTTPs and restart Opera.

Or, you can change your DNS server on Windows to fix the issue for Opera and any other programs that have problems.

Or, you can change the DNS servers on your router.
