Download multiple large files at the same time cause high cpu usage

I'm downloading 5 files that are 10gb+ at the same time and Opera's CPU usage jumps from 20-80%. I've paused downloads one by one and found at 2 files at the same time, CPU usage is mostly 5-30% but occasionally jump to max CPU and freezes the browser. 3 files jumps to mostly 20-40% but occasionally jump to max CPU and freezes the browser. 4 files 20-80% and would nearly constantly freeze the browser. The same does not happen on other browsers like Edge and Chrome.
