Hello, I recently added the duck duck go to the list of search engines. I verified that I entered the correct site's address. In fact the duckduckgo symbol even shows up like the yahoo! or bing ones. The problem is that when I enter a string for search nothing happens, unlike with all the other options. What can I do?

I presume you are using Opera 26 or above?

It works for me. However, you could try setting this up again.

        • Remove the entry you made from opera://settings/searchEngines (copy and paste that into a new tab).
        • Load https://duckduckgo.com
        • Right-click in the search field and select Create search engine…

If this still doesn't work try setting it up via the DuckDuckGo extension. This will add DuckDuckGo as a search in the address field and also give more options via the extension button. Personally I think this is the best option.

No, it's 12.16. When I try to enter opera://settings/searchEngines in a new tab, it opens http://help.opera.com/error/. I did install the extension and works fine. Still curious about why the other way is not working.

If I go to Preferences > Searches, I see that mine already came with DuckDuckGo installed. Here is the address listed when I click on Edit, then Details:

            http://duckduckgo.com/?t=ous&q=%s
