Security of Opera 12.17

Since Opera is no longer "supporting" version 12.17, is it still as secure as it once was, or as new malware is created has it become more and more vulnerable?

We still respond to security reports and will update it if needed.

Thanks, really good to hear that directly from an Opera employee @ruario!
I assume and hope that when (not if sadly) Opera 12 is completely abandoned and unsupported, we will be officially informed.
