Closing tabs in Tab Islands is difficult

I have just switched to Opera One and I find closing tabs very, very frustrating. When you move your cursor over the 'X' to close a tab it immediately opens a little window that shows the tabs in the Island. It is virtually impossible to close a tab using the 'X'. So instead you have to use a right-click which is very cumbersome. This is design flaw will probably drive me away from Opera.

I'm running Ventura on a MacBook Pro, Opera One 100.0.4815.76

@seamusmcfreak I don't see any difficulties in closing tabs here, using Windows 11. Maybe a Mac issue?

I've same problem... X button disapear when I try to close a tab on a island.
The bad thing is that it is a bug last year that did not have until the last update.
