          Yes - just delete the autoupdate.exe file in the Program Files/Opera folder.

            Not helps, installed Opera (not portable) can update without opera_autoupdate.exe! (f****d browser_assistant.exe)

              Oh yes - you need to disable the Opera Assistant. I always do this on installing a new release.

              I really don't like any automatic stuff and always disable it - if I want to upgrade I will do it when I want.
