Not able to open file manager

I'm experiencing some trouble with Opera on my Linux Mint Vera installation. It's the Cinnamon desktop environment.
When opening the file manager for "save as" in Opera, I can only reach to the download folder. Not possible to save in Desktop, Documents or any other place. All these folders aren't shown actually.
And it's the same the other way round: Loading up a file is only possible when it's saved in "Downloads" No such behavior in pre-installed Firefox. Any workaround?
I've installed Opera from the Flatpak-version which is offered in the software center. -

Unfortunately, I can't offer any solution.
Only a point-of-contrast.Using openSuse Tumbleweed running KDE /Plasma desktop, with Opera installed (native, not Flatpak). Works as expected with launch of file manager (four different machines).
Have you experimented with a native install of Opera?

@myswtest Thank you for your time and answering.
Do I understand you correctly; By native you mean the .deb package from Opera's website?
Thank you in advance. -

@myswtest I've done a new installation with the .deb package. Now it works as expected. Thanks a lot for your advice.

@himmelsheriff ... sorry about delay
But yes, "native" would be using the package your distro offers, or downloading the .deb (or .rpm, etc) from Opera, which is appropriate for your distro.
"native" meaning it's a program that runs within your distro's booted system, all dependent on the various support libraries, etc.
A Flatpak, as with other container systems, is a "sandbox(ed) environment", in which users can run an application that is isolated from the rest of the (native) system.
Flatpaks, (and others) have their pros and cons... one reason I don't used them is because of size - because they have to package other software pieces so it can run in its sandbox. The more Flatpaks you use, you will need much more disk space to store them.
You found another con of Flatpaks
Glad to see you got it working !

@myswtest Thanks for reaching out and for the information. I haven't known that, actually.
I took Opera from Mint's Software Center which provided the flatpak btw. So, it was the distro's solution.
But loading from the Opera website brought me the version that actually works. Thank you. -
