Opera freezes for 10-20 sec on opening new window or adding bookmarks

Hello! Recently (for about two weeks) I experience freezes in my browser. I noticed, that it happens when:
- a new window is opened (either its from the menu or by dragging the tab out)
- a new bookmark added or deleted.
Opera does not freeze completely, but almost does not respond. CPU gets very busy (I have a recent i7), and sometimes my actions (like opening a new tab) get visible, but with a delay. Every action is remembered and gets done, but after the freeze (sometimes some actions are done during being frozen).
I thought it was some kind of well known bug and will be get fixed soon, but it's not. Maybe anyone knows what can be the culprit here?

@jeynkey1 Having the same issue here, only recently started within the past few weeks too. I've tried updating, disabling extensions, disabling hardware acceleration, disabling anything "extra" in the settings and am still having the same problem. FWIW Opera on my macbook seems to be running fine, but having this issue on my desktop PC (Ryzen 5900X).

I got it! Apparently, Opera has a limit to number of bookmarks in Speed Dial. When you reach this limit, Opera starts to behave as I described in opening post. Moving some folders with bookmarks (I had plenty) from Speed Dial to regular bookmarks storage resolved the issue.
