Adding Presearch as a default search option would provide users a decentralized privacy focused search choice on Opera.

This move is very simple and would provide Opera users more choice while improving their privacy and search results.

@nbvdv It's a longstanding request for Opera to allow any search engine as default. I've recently switched to Vivaldi as default (it's been my No. 2 for a few years). One reason for doing so was that I'd reached the point where I could not set Brave Search as default, having decided I wanted to use it instead of DuckDuckGo. Other reasons are to do with some key Chat AI extensions that don't work with Opera.

However, it doesn't mean I don't still use Opera. I have several browsers installed on various devices.

@nbvdv I agree. Presearch would be key to having as another option for default search engine. I added presearch as a search option where I can put a letter in prior to the search, but this becomes a bit of a pain - for those not knowing the context, here it is: https://presearch.org/extsearch?term=%s

Firefox allows this option, why can't Opera?
