New Opera update not installing

Hello,

recently, (around 10/05/2023)
I got a notice from the Opera browser in "menu" (which was red btw) saying"Update Available".
And in the drop-down menu was a new option opting me to click "get the newest security updates".
When I clicked this button, a new tab opened to opera.com/gx.
I thought:"I just need to install the new patch again because it is a large file",
but when I downloaded "operasetup.exe", Windows said a critical error happened and that I can't download it.
Was this been an issue for more users, or is it just me?

Also this was not said anywhere, but do I need to download Windows 10 to download the new update?

Me too. On every Computer and two operating systems except Android.

@phillipinaepicgamer As said, yes, you need at least Windows 10 to install Opera from version 96.

I'm currently running windows 11 and I can't install Opera browser either, it keeps telling me that the files are either corrupt or I have to restart my PC because the files are locked.

@kahlil Same problem here. It shows the icon for needs-to-update, appears to do it, but moments later, the icon changes back to needs-to-update.
Even after a separate download and install, the problem persists.
