hello, it's been several days since the opera icon disappears from the taskbar even when docked (it's the only icon that disappears), does anyone know the reason why this happens? Thank you.

Open the Windows task manager, switch to the processes tab, select the Windows Explorer process and choose "restart". Or, restart Windows.
if that alone doesn't do the trick, in Opera, goto the URL
opera://about
, take note of the "install" path, close Opera,
and unpin Opera's taskbar icon (if it's pinned). Then, hit the Windows key + r to open the run dialog and enter the following in it and press enter:
explorer "%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar"
In the folder that launches, confirm that Opera's shortcut is gone from there.
Then, in the run dialog again enter the following:
explorer "install path that you took note of earlier"
When Opera's install folder opens, right-click launcher.exe and choose "pin to taskbar".
Then see how things work.
If that doesn't' work, download the Opera installer from opera.com, close Opera, uninstall Opera (but do not choose to delete your data if it asks to), delete Opera's install folder if it remains, launch the Opera installer, click "options", uncheck "import data from default browser", adjust the other options as you like, and install.
Then, test if that fixes it.

@julmari There could be several reasons why the opera icon is not showing up in the taskbar even when docked. Here are a few things you could try to troubleshoot the issue:
Restart the computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can solve the issue as it clears up any temporary glitches.
Check the taskbar settings: Make sure that the "Opera" option is not hidden in the taskbar settings. To check this, right-click on the taskbar, select "Taskbar settings," and scroll down to "Select which icons appear on the taskbar." Make sure the switch next to "Opera" is turned on.
Reinstall Opera: Try uninstalling and reinstalling Opera on your computer. This will replace any corrupt files that may be causing the issue.
Check for updates: Make sure you have the latest version of Opera installed on your computer. You can check for updates by opening Opera and going to "Menu > About Opera."
Check for conflicting software: It's possible that another program on your computer is conflicting with Opera. Try disabling any antivirus software or firewalls temporarily to see if that solves the issue.
If none of these steps work, it may be best to contact Opera support for further assistance.
