it deletes youtube. like the entire thing. good luck trying to look for something to watch when there is no home page anymore. you can search but who even uses search that much?

Unhook might be the most useful app on the internet right now.
It gives back something YT quietly stole:
freedom of choice and autonomous thinking.
No more lemming mode.

It lets you disable whatever YouTube junk around the video.
I keep only the video, channel info, comments, and search bar.
That’s it. The page is clean. Calm. Breathable.
No clickbait. No Shouting faces. No algorithmic nudging.
No “you watched this once so here’s 500 more”.

After my first video with Unhook, I caught myself thinking: And now?
That moment of emptiness says everything. I was trained to scroll, not to choose.
Same echo chambers, same recycled outrage, same time sink.
Ten minutes in, the familiar thought: Why did I even click this?

Now that reflex is gone.
If I want something, I have to decide. Deliberately.
It feels weird at first — like quitting smoking or sugar.
But it feels good.

Absolutely amazing thing!
Though, it started to show the Recommended cards at the end of the videos lately. I've clicked all the toggles - nothing works, probably, YT's changed something.
Can you fix it, please?

An absolute banger of an extension, not just timesaving it's LIFESAVING. I never had this much free time reclaimed or never got this amount of sh*t done cuz simply one sec I'm in and the next I'm out.
