Can only login to opera using private window

I am new to Opera. The only way that I could create or login to my Opera account is by using a private window. I tried stopping all extensions, anti virus and malware programs etc. but nothing works. I also tried clearing cookies etc. to no avail. I can get in using my google account but I can't use that to sync my info as it sends me back to regular opera for my password which when I click on it nothing happens. This it true only in Opera. I can get in using any other browser. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!
