Blank screen after update

I am using Opera for at least 8 years as my default browser on my Tab – Samsung SM-T580, Android 8.1.0. A few days ago Opera run an update, due to the settings now at version 73.0.3844.69695. After that, all hell broke loose. When I’m opening any webpage, it takes max 10 secs, the content disappears from the screen. All I then see is a blank page. Blank page also appears when I try to zoom in.
So my question: what the hell?
Secondly: Stupidly enough, I tried to clear the browsing data hoping that might fix the problem and deleted by mistake all my bookmarks. And no I hadn’t backed up them, on Opera at least. Anyone any ideas how to restore them?
Thnx -

I have the same problem. After reinstalling the problem is away. But setting hide taskbars to no while scrolling, it came back. After setting to hide the problem went away.

An update
Since seemingly no one has no clue from the problem I’m describing, here is an update.
Firstly on the lost bookmarks: I uninstalled Opera from GooglePlay – NOT from the Android settings where one can delete all cache and data – and reinstalled it. All Bookmarks were back. What a great relief…Secondly on the blank screen: I tried the full screen mode and suddenly I could read, zoom in & out etc the old fashioned way without the previously described problems. When I exited the full screen mode all hell broke loose again. Which means this is definitely a software bug, and it would be very kind of the programmers to address this problem.
